The musical drama Mar\u00eda de Buenos Aires is considered one of the boldest and most influential creations by the Argentine composer Piazzolla. In this performance, under the baton of Argentine musician Nisinman, numerous domestic and foreign musicians will perform, while the vocal-dramatic roles will be taken on by Chilean-Swedish mezzo-soprano Luciana Mancini as Maria, Argentine tango singer Ruben Peloni as El Payador, and Puerto Rican reciter Daniel Bonilla-Torres as El Duende. As Nisinman stated at today's press conference in Kri\u017eanke, Maria in this text represents the second birth of Buenos Aires, and is at the same time a symbol of faith and hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Tuesday, a concert titled Timeless Bach will take place on the stage of the Slovenian Philharmonic, which, according to the festival organizers, will highlight the invaluable inspiration of the father of the Baroque. With the domestic ensemble Ensemble Dissonance, the Russian-born, world-renowned virtuoso Sergei Krylov will perform in the roles of conductor and violin soloist. He announced an evening of pure music and harmony, as well as a bridge between history and the present. The program combines Bach's violin concertos with works by Alfred Schnittke and Ezio Bosso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Munich Chamber Philharmonia dacapo, under the direction of Franz Schottky, will present works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The central highlight of the evening will be Haydn's famous Cello Concerto, featuring Italian virtuoso Ettore Pagano as the soloist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A concert by the domestic ensemble Momento Cigano was also announced. Led by renowned guitarist Teo Collori, the group creates music based on gypsy swing. Collori recalled their beginnings and the creation of their first record, describing their Wednesday performance in Kri\u017eanke as an exceptional success for them. The ensemble brings together diverse musicians; among others, violinist Matija Kre\u010di\u010d and clarinetist Matej Ku\u017eel will perform on stage, and in the expanded lineup, also Ema Kre\u010di\u010d on cello and drummer Pavel \u010ceba\u0161ek. At one point during the evening, several dozen musicians will be on stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As further announced by the director and artistic director of the Ljubljana Festival, Darko Brlek, the Wuxi Symphony Orchestra, which was founded in China a few years ago, will perform in the Gallus Hall of Cankarjev dom on Thursday under the baton of the internationally renowned conductor Daye Lin. He added that in the last two decades, China has established over 60 new symphony orchestras and simultaneously built just as many concert halls, as each orchestra has its own hall with at least 1,200 seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Saturday evening will be marked by actor, poet, and musician Rade \u0160erbed\u017eija with the concert Jesen sti\u017ee, dunjo moja.
